Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution and be comfortable handling court appearances, depositions, discovery, and motion practice. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters through all phases of litigation.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues.
- Handle written discovery, document review, and depositions.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
- Develop case strategy and provide legal counsel to clients.
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
- Trial experience is a plus.
